BB386 EVO Bottom Bracket Compatibility
Also known as: BB386 EVO, 386 EVO, BB386
BB386 EVO combines the wide 86.5mm shell of BB86 with the large 46mm bore of PF30, giving room for a full-length 30mm spindle across the widest shell. It aims to be the most adaptable press-fit standard.
That 46mm × 86.5mm bore adapts to virtually every crank spindle — 30mm native, plus 24mm Shimano, SRAM GXP/DUB and Campagnolo through the right bottom bracket.

Frequently Asked Questions
Is a BB386EVO bottom bracket threaded or press-fit?
BB386EVO is a press-fit standard: the bearing cups press into the frame bore (46mm bore, 86.5mm wide, press-fit cups). Press-fit saves weight and allows a larger spindle, but demands tight frame tolerances and can be more prone to creaking than a threaded shell.
What shell width does a BB386EVO frame use?
BB386EVO frames use a 86.5mm shell (46mm bore, 86.5mm wide, press-fit cups). Always match your bottom bracket to both the standard and your frame's exact shell width before buying.
Which cranks fit a BB386EVO frame?
With the right bottom bracket, a BB386EVO frame can run cranks on several spindle standards. In our catalogue we have BB386EVO bottom brackets for: 30mm (BB30 / PF30 / 386EVO); 24mm (Shimano Hollowtech II); SRAM GXP (24/22mm); Campagnolo Ultra-Torque (25mm); SRAM DUB (28.99mm); Campagnolo Power-Torque (25mm). Pick the bottom bracket that matches your crank's spindle — most commonly 30mm (BB30 / PF30 / 386EVO).
How many BB386EVO bottom brackets and frames are listed?
We currently track 31 BB386EVO bottom brackets and 2 frames built to the BB386EVO standard, checked against our compatibility engine.
My BB386EVO bottom bracket creaks — what can I do?
Press-fit creak usually comes from insufficient preload or a bore that is fractionally out of tolerance. Options include a thread-together (compression) bottom bracket that clamps across the shell, careful greasing/retaining compound on the cups, or — on frames with a ~46mm bore — converting to a threaded T47 bottom bracket for a permanent fix.
